Mainframe Programmer, US
Job Location - Boston, MA
Length of Contract – 6+ Months
Job Responsibilities
The Incumbent shall
- Function in multiple roles including analyst, project lead, tester and programmer (Cobol, Natural, Adabas, Easytrieve, MVS/JCL and utilities)
- Work in maintaining the integrity of all MMIS Programs
- Work on the development of projects/programs needed to support Federal/state Mandates
As a Mainframe Programmer, you will have to
- Define the scope, objectives and deliverables of projects including the review of user requests and participate in decisions regarding project and direction.
- Develop and implement modifications to the existing MMIS system to support mandated Changes;
- Maintain and develop new applications for the existing MMIS system; new applications not within the MMIS system but needed by upper management; and
- Adhere to published standards and methodologies implemented within the MMIS IT Team
Required Skill Set
- Cobol
- Natural
- Adabas
- Easytrieve
- MVS/JCL
- Knowledge of IMS is not a must but preferable
Rate – $40/hr
